Dear friend,
Marylanders for Healthcare Workforce Access, a coalition of leading Maryland healthcare, civic, and community organizations, have banded together to urge our state leaders in Annapolis to join the APRN Compact.
Now is the time to grow and strengthen our state’s healthcare workforce. Communities across Maryland are struggling with historic healthcare workforce gaps in our hospitals, primary care facilities, health clinics, and doctors' offices.
In fact, 23 out of Maryland’s 24 counties are classified as a Health Professional Shortage Area for primary and mental healthcare services.
By joining the APRN Compact, Maryland can attract Advanced Practice Registered Nurses from across the country to grow our healthcare workforce for a safer and brighter future.
Together, we can grow Maryland’s healthcare workforce and provide safe and quality healthcare to patients across Maryland.
Make sure to keep up to date on the work our coalition is doing by following us on Facebook and Instagram.
