***Urgent*** Final Push as we Support Nursing as a Professional Degree

We are in the final push to submit as many personalized and substantive comments as possible to the Department of Education supporting Nursing as a Professional Degree. More than 46,000 comments have been submitted thus far! Let's keep the momentum going! DEADLINE COB TOMORROW- CONGRESSIONAL SIGN-ON OB3A COMMENT LETTER: Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR), Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS), Rep. Jen Kiggans (R-VA-02), and Rep. Suzanne Bonamici (D-OR-01) are circulating a comment letter for members of Congress to sign onto in support of nursing being included as a professional degree (see draft letter in the form link below). This is similar to the letter Congress sent the Department in December 2025. There are two ways for you to assist our Congressional champions with their efforts:

***Please ask your members of Congress to sign onto this letter before the deadline of COB, Friday, February 27th*** This letter is for members of Congress to sign onto only (NOT NCC Member organizations). When asking your member of Congress to support, please have them sign on using the following Quill link (https://quill.senate.gov/letters/letter/32194/opt-in/view/cf746a3e-4aba-4682-9796-79e75752794a/), which only works for Hill staff.     
                  

DEADLINE COB TOMORROW- SIGN ONTO THE NURSING AND FRIENDS COMMENT LETTER: Thank you to the nearly 200 National and State Organizations that have signed onto the Nursing and Friends Comment Letter. Please SHARE THIS LINK with your networks so other organizations can add their names in support. The deadline for supporting state and national organizations, including NCC members, to sign onto this letter is COB, Friday, February 27th. Please note that a list of NCC organizations that signed the Nursing and Friends Comment letters is attached to this email for your reference.
